Do the
fathers really get pregnant?
Yes, they really do! The females
produce the eggs, then pass them off to the males. The males then carry the
embryos (fertilized eggs) in a pouch, providing oxygen and some nutrients
through the pouch walls. After the embryos develop, the male gives birth.
Because of this very close relationship between the embryos and the fathers,
it is suitable to say that the fathers get pregnant! Ask your dad what he
thinks about that. |
