Who are a seahorse's predators?
Adult seahorses have relatively few natural predators. Some fish, like the striped anglerfish or the bottom-dwelling flatheads, will prey on seahorses, but most fish find their bony bodies a small and unpleasant meal. Other predators may include crabs and even penguins. Seahorses are most vulnerable just after they hatch, when their small size makes them likely meals for a wide variety of plankton-feeding creatures.
