  Body by Jell-o
Man is an over-complicated organism. If he is doomed to extinction he will die out for want of simplicity.

--Ezra Pound

Jellies are models of simplicity. Adult jellies are almost nothing but water - up to 95 percent. Their bell-shaped bodies hold a few organs: a mouth in the center, a ring of oral arms around the mouth and a ring of tentacles along the edge. But these body parts hold a secret or two. It's good to be Jell-O

Is there an up side to being gelatinous? Absolutely. Being made mostly of water, jellies aren't very good food sources, so they have few predators. Jellies can hide easily from those few predators because they can be almost transparent. Those that are not, like the sea nettle, have powerful stinging cells to help protect them. Jellies also have no trouble staying afloat, since they weigh basically the same as the water. Being made of Jell-O ain't all that bad.
